Haute Fidélité donne dans les sonorités à tendance rétro cette semaine, avec The Turtles ; The Kinks ; Nick Krgovich et ses projets No Kids et Gigi, dignes du meilleur de The Ronettes ; et Magic Kids et « Summer », nouvelle pièce aux accents Beach Boyesques... On s'offre aussi un doublé Ariel Pink, comprenant notamment une collaboration avec la formation free jazz Added Pizzazz. Également, un segment dédié à cinq duos « garçon et fille » fameux - pensez Bardot/Gainsbourg et Hazlewood/Sinatra. Et pour conclure, on s'attarde sur quelques-unes des têtes d'affiche du Festival de Jazz, Gil Scott-Heron et Herbie Hancock.

Au programme : Brie Neilson, Sally Paradise et Meta Gruau, qui se produisent tous cette semaine dans le cadre du Festival St-Ambroise Fringe ; Emmanuelle Seigner, qui est du côté des Francofolies dimanche prochain ; ainsi que Tindersticks, Hrsta et Feu Thérèse, trois artistes de l'étiquette Constellation, qui célébrait son 13e anniversaire dimanche dernier dans le cadre du Festival Suoñi Per Il Popolo.

Contenu très éclectique ce soir, alors qu'on saute de la classique formation électronique Silver Apples au standard country Jolene de Dolly Parton, en passant par le chef-d'oeuvre jazz A Love Supreme de John Coltrane. En chemin, quelques découvertes, notamment la pièce Eclisse Twist de la chanteuse italienne Mina, de même qu'une collaboration entre Alfred Panou et The Art Ensemble Of Chicago.
